Bob Growney is a Partner of Edgewater Growth Capital Partners.

Prior to joining Edgewater, Bob was President, Chief Operating Officer and Vice Chairman of Motorola, Inc. In addition to his responsibility for Motorola’s $30 billion global operation, Bob oversaw Motorola’s minority equity portfolio of more than 240 companies, including those in the Motorola Ventures portfolio. After he joined Motorola in 1966, Bob held a variety of managerial positions. At various times throughout his career he had direct responsibility for the Radio Technologies Group, Paging and Telepoint Systems Group, Paging and Wireless Data Group, and the Messaging, Information and Media Sector.

Bob received both his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and his M.B.A. from the Illinois Institute of Technology ("IIT") in Chicago where he now serves as Executive Committee Member of the Board of Trustees. Additionally, he is Chairman of the Oversight Board for IIT’s Stuart Graduate School of Business.
