Greg Jones is a Partner of Edgewater Growth Capital Partners.
Prior to joining Edgewater, Greg was Chairman, CEO and co-founder of uBid, Inc., which he built to over $500 million in annual revenues. Greg led uBid through a highly successful IPO and subsequent sale for over $400 million. Prior to uBid, Greg was Senior Vice President of APAC Teleservices, Inc., which grew during his tenure from $100 million to $275 million and was the top IPO for Merrill Lynch in 1996. From 1990 to 1995, Greg was President and COO of Reliable Corporation of Chicago, a $200 million direct mail seller of office products which was successfully sold to Boise Cascade. Greg began his career as a consultant with Ernst & Young.
Greg has received many business leadership awards, including the State of Michigan Leadership Award, the 1999 Ernst & Young and KPMG Entrepreneur of the Year Awards and inclusion in the 1999 Crain’s Chicago Business 40 Most Influential People Under 40 Business List, and is an inductee into the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Entrepreneur Hall of Fame. Greg is active in a leadership role with the Young Presidents Organization and is on the boards of the Miami University of Ohio Business School, the Illinois Math and Science Academy, Evanston Northwestern Hospital and several Edgewater portfolio companies.
Greg received his B.S. from Miami University of Ohio, and his M.B.A. from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
