John Danaher
John Danaher, M.D. leads Elsevier’s Global Clinical Solutions business that is focused on improving patient outcomes through optimizing provider performance and patient engagement. His focus is on launching next generation clinical decision support products which utilize cognitive technologies. Previously, he headed Elsevier’s Education business and led the transformation from a traditional publisher to an educational digital solutions provider focused on improving student outcomes.
Prior to joining Elsevier in 2013, John was President of the Schools of Health Sciences and Nursing at Kaplan, worked at Discovery Communications, and served on the original management team of WebMD. He also was part of the executive management team of a Harvard hospital integrated delivery system.
John received his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School, his MBA from Stanford University and earlier in his career was Resident & Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at Stanford University Medical Center. He served on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Public Health. John served as a White House Fellow working for the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services and a Japan Society Fellow studying the Japanese health care system.
